NEW DESIGN FOR ANAAL NATHRAKH
This project was truly an honor. I had a couple small chats with Mick Kenney about doing design work a few weeks ago and was blown away that AN was interested. Insanely proud that they loved the design and asked to print it.
I’ve been listening to this band for ten years now and have been showing them to as many people as possible. I even printed my own personal AN shirt a few years ago just so I can wear at shows. That’s how it all started, Mick saw a pic of me performing wearing the shirt on facebook and commented “What the Fuck is this?!” hahaa Amazing segue for me to show him my artwork.
Enough rambling, here is the new shirt design for ANAAL NATHRAKH:

NEW SHIRT FOR TAINTED SKIN TATTOOS
Quick weekend collab between Aaron Riddle, Dave Togtman and myself on a new shirt design for Tainted Skin Tattoos in Crown Point, IN.
Here are some process pics for all those art nerds that like to see how things take shape:
The initial sketch on tracing paper done by Aaron Riddle and Dave Togtman at the Tattoo Shop.
Fine black ink liner done by Aaron and Dave at the shop. I took it home and went over it.
After going over the liner I pulled it into Illustrator to clean it up and live trace it.
Once the liner is vectorized and clean I pull it into photoshop to add some color layers.
Now I need something for the background. Drew up some random shapes to match the main illustration.
Time to add all the elements and work on logo placement.
…and if you know my work, IT’S TEXTURES TIME!!!! Let’s add some depth.
Since the project calls for only two colors, it’s time to color separate and halftone this into 2 isolated pantone colors.

Just launched the new website for drummer TIM YEUNG (Morbid Angel, Divine Heresy, Hate Eternal, Decrepit Birth, World Under Blood, etc). Had fun on this project, super cool guy to work with and one talented dude! Plus we both have a sweet spot for muscle cars hahaaa.
